Crew Member Arrested
A 39-year-old Mexican man, who worked with her, was arrested by police. He went to court in the Bahamas but was denied bail. The case is still being investigated.
She Was Coming Home for Her 21st Birthday
Paige was going to fly home in South Arica to celebrate her 21st birthday. She died just a few days before the trip.
She had worked as a stewardess on another yacht called “Sweet Emocean” until late last year. Her former team said she was kind, cheerful, and full of life.

Yacht Crew Starts Fundraiser for Her Family
Her old crew members have launched a GoFundMe page to help her family. They said Paige was more than just a co-worker. She was like family and always brought joy to those around her.
So far, the fundraiser has received over US $44,000 (R792,000) from 542 people. The money will help the family with travel, legal, and funeral costs.
School and Family Heartbroken
Hillcrest High School said Paige was always cheerful and full of energy. Her teachers and classmates will miss her.
Her sister, Chelsey Jacobs, shared a post online. She said their parents, Michelle and John Bell, had flown to the Bahamas to bring her body home. They also want to make sure justice is done.
Chelsey thanked everyone who donated and said:
“We are heartbroken. The legal process in another country is hard and expensive. We truly appreciate your love and support.”
