A taxi driver fled after a brutal road rage fight in Cape Town.
The fight broke out on 26 June in Maitland, at the corner of Canon Road and Voortrekker Road.
A video shows the driver dragging a man from his car. He drags the 48-year-old out and attacks him with a knife.
The video went viral this week and shocked many South Africans.
Victimโs Sister Speaks Out
The victimโs sister, Jameelah Pandey, shared the story on Facebook.
The driver was reckless and swerved in front of them often.
It got worse when the driver stopped and attacked him.
She believes the driverโs assistant (gaatjie) may also have helped in the attack.
Thanks to his thick hoodie, his neck wounds were not fatal.
She said, โBy the mercy of Allah, his major organs were missed.โ
He was released from the hospital on 1 July and is now recovering at home.
