Virtual Tour Established in 1968, The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) at the University of Arizona (UA) offers CEA-accredited full- and part-time ESL programs of various session lengths at all levels throughout the year. The curriculum includes a schedule of 20-22 hours per week instruction for eight levels of English proficiency, with designated levels of instruction starting with beginning through advanced. All CESL faculty have a minimum of Masters degree in a relevant field and have classroom experience in the US and abroad.

    The CESL is located in the heart of UA. UA, established in 1885, is located on 362 acres in the city of Tucson, Arizona. This state-supported university with more than 38,000 students from approximately 119 countries includes the only medical school in Arizona that grants MD degrees. Among the strongest programs at UA are optical sciences, astronomy, astrophysics, planetary sciences, earth sciences, hydrogeology, linguistics, philosophy, sociology, architecture, engineering, and anthropology. International student services include a full-time Student Services and Immigration Advisors to help international students with orientation, immigration counseling, college and university information and UA applications.
