American English and Culture Program (AECP) at Arizona State University (ASU) has offered specially-designed, high-quality intensive English language instruction since 1974. ASU is a major public institution, premier research center and innovation leader. AECP sits at the heart of ASU’s Tempe Campus in a friendly, medium-sized town which neighbors Phoenix, the nation's fifth-largest city.

  • ASU offers conditional admission for undergraduates and graduates
  • AECP offers five 8-week sessions per year at 6 levels of instruction. One session covers one level. Students enroll in the number of sessions necessary to achieve the desired level of ESL proficiency
  • No TOEFL is required for students who complete AECP's highest level and wish to enter an ASU degree program
  • AECP offers six Professional English Certificates in focused areas such as Science and Technology, Business English and Communications
