SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDY OPTIONS
School district study options for international students include elementary school, high school, English as a Second Language (ESL), adult high school and short-term study programs.

For most of these programs, study is full-time and follows the academic year of September to June. School districts offer highly structured programs with both morning and afternoon instruction plus field trips, sports and other extra-curricular activities. At the high school level, international students will have a choice of elective courses in addition to their required foundational courses. Elective course options will vary from school to school within a district, and between districts across the USA. Some of the more common elective options include music/band, drama, fine/ graphic arts, technology-based courses and other language courses (Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese, Ukrainian, etc.).
