Multicultural Associations in the US are dedicated to celebrating cultural and ethnic diversity as a national strength and as enriching part of American society. Associations include the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) as well as local chapters and organizations.
International students can benefit from locating a multicultural association in their host city and getting involved in the multicultural community around them. Associations may offer advice or aid to international students, as well as providing safe space and social contact with other students, immigrants and American-born citizens from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Your university or college may have a list of multicultural associations available, and most educational institutions have their own multicultural or cultural associations. Below is a partial list showing just a few of the many cultural organizations in the US.
