If you have your own computer, broadband DSL and cable Internet are available throughout most of the country, excepting only the most rural and isolated of areas. Wireless routers are popular, particularly for those with laptops, and can be purchased either from electronics stores or from your Internet provider. Many coffee shops and other public environments such as hotels and some government buildings provide wireless access to visitors and customers.
Special Internet cafés, some computer stores and most public libraries provide computers with Internet connections for public use: cafés and stores usually charge by the minute, while library computer use is free but usually time-restricted (e.g., you can only use it for an hour at a time). Schools and colleges in the USA will have Internet-capable computers for students to use.
