 Top Community Colleges for International Students
The USA offers a comprehensive and exciting array of educational opportunities for international students. And community colleges constitute the largest segment of higher education in the United States with more and more international students choosing this option for their education. Community colleges are located in communities across the USA – in large metropolitan areas and small communities, with a large percentage of schools now actively recruiting international students from around the world. Community colleges offer students a chance to earn a 2 year diploma or certificate and are a popular alternative for completing the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree.
The state of Texas is home to some of the most popular community colleges for international students, including the Houston Community College System, the Lone Star College System, and Richland College.
California is also a popular place for international students attending community colleges, including Santa Monica College, De Anza College, Diablo Valley College and City College of San Francisco.
Community colleges are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of preparing students to live in a multicultural, interdependent society. For this reason, community colleges are expanding their programs and services to embrace the world community and have implemented support systems to achieve this goal.
